You can buy them at your local retail bookstore, or order knitting books online - you'll enjoy starting a library of knitting books for yourself. AND, if you are a professional knitter, knitting books are considered a business expense, so you can 'write them off' when you purchase them, too.

To knitters, yarn stores are both a blessing and a curse, and so, of course, most of us have pretty classic love/hate relationships with our local yarn stores. We love yarn stores because we can buy yarn, lotsa yarn, beautiful yarn...and we hate yarn stores because we can buy yarn, lotsa yarn, beautiful yarn. ;-)
