Become a Craft Show Connoisseur: Knit Scarf Patterns for Everyone
Knit scarf patterns for everybody - and every budget!
Knit scarf patterns are an essential ingredient for any business knitter -- after all, we have winter nearly everywhere in North America, and scarves are in big demand by young and old. Having a lot of knit scarf patterns on hand means you can knit scarves for anyone -- and you won't get bored with any of them. ;-)
KNIT SCARF PATTERNS
Here are three quick and easy knit scarf patterns you can use to make scarves for sale. By varying the colors and textures of the wool you use, you can make hundreds of unique scarves from just these three knit scarf patterns.
The easiest knit scarf pattern of them all works like this: with any worsted weight wool (try some of the new novelty yarns or 'chunky' styles just for fun!) and 12mm needles, cast on 20 stitches. Knit every row until the scarf is as long as you'd like it to be, and then bind off. Add a fringe on each end if you like, and voila! You have a scarf ready to sell!
A list of easy knit scarf patterns would be remiss if it didn't include this one ... cast on about 300 stitches, and knit until the scarf is as wide as you'd like it to be before you bind off! This horizontal knit scarf pattern gives you the opportunity to work in stripes -- adding a new color every couple of rows for variety -- without having to know the more complex intarsia knitting.
You can also use these knit scarf patterns to play with various types of yarn or blends, so that each scarf you knit will be a unique blend of fibers.
Here's another of the knit scarf patterns I've discovered, which also makes a completely reversible scarf. Use the first scarf pattern above, but every few inches, purl a row or two instead of knitting it. This will give you a unique 'ridge' here and there along the scarf, and make it a truly unique knit scarf pattern.
If you get tired of varying these ones, do a Google search and find some more knit scarf patterns.
There are probably hundreds of knit scarf patterns online -- the only limit is your imagination!
